The boys got a basketball hoop for Christmas and Bristol has been loving it! His favorite part of the present is the basketball. He carries it everywhere!

Pheasant Hunt In Pleasant Valley

Yesterday Brian, Jocelyn, Rj (Brian's Dad) and Jason headed south to Pleasant Valley for a pheasant hunt. We were all successful in shooting birds..we braved temperatures of 11 degrees, stomped through some pretty deep snow and had a great time of fellowship!

Um...

I think I may have discovered why potting training has not been going as quickly as I would like. I guess I need to better explain what underwear are for, and they are not to be worn on the head! I never know what I am going to find after Hudson's nap time...this one definitely cracked me up for a while!

Hudson's 3rd Birthday Party

We celebrated Hudson's 3rd birthday today and had a roaring!!! Dino time... Anne Marie did face painting, we had a dino dig, pinata, erupting volcanos and of course cake and ice cream!

Today

Hudson and Bristol taking care of their cow. Cow is about 3 months old now...and getting pretty fat. He seems to enjoy attention, and is the perfect size for the boys to brush and "play" with. I tried to chase him around a bit on the horse today, but I think he is too domesticated for that...because he kinda just mozyed around, not really paying attention to the horse "chasing" him...at a walk. Tess on the other hand has been doing really well. I have been training her to pull a sled, in anticipation for pulling the kids around when there is snow. And today I was able to lope her around while holding an American flag. I guess I have to be creative since I don't get to leave the yard with her too much. But it is nice to be able to ride and have the kids playing right in the backyard!

Our little studious kids....sitting and reading quietly is not something that happens around here too often...so I had to document it!

The Living Planet Aquarium

The snow has begun to fall! What this means for us is finding more indoor activities to keep the boys busy. Roanne and I took the kids to the Aquarium today....we had a blast, and stayed warm!

Where does the time go?

I recently had a friend ask me what I do all day...I guess because I don't have a job....a job outside the home that is.... Anyways, this was our day before lunch...Breakfast, Laundry, setting up train tracks, finger painting, play dough....trying really hard to make a play dough frog as good as Daddy, but Hudson was not impressed, practicing sorting colored letters, making tissue paper "fall" trees, snack, coloring with markers, walking to the "digger" park and playing outside, Lunch.....

So, I guess to answer the question, I play all day! =)

Brian got a traveler guitar for his birthday...now he can play while on the road...Bristol liked listening to Daddy play!

Busy Days With Daddy!

We sure have been enjoying having Brian home! We have had a busy week....It started by going to the Farm at Thanksgiving Point, the next day to the Tracy Aviary, and today heading to the Dinosaur Museum...and in between I was able to head out on the trail for a couple of great trail rides.
