Busy Busy Days

We are inside one month until our big Alaskan move. This means a lot of preparations are under way to make sure we are on schedule to leave on May 18Th. The largest deciding factor for the move was the sale of our home...and it sold..we close on May 17Th...this was a big relief! We have been planning this move for about 8 months and hoping that it would happen at the end of May, however as May started to get closier we were just a little unsure if it was actually going to work out, because our house had yet to sell. Then, about a month ago we got two full price offers in a span of a couple of days...putting us at the exact closing time we needed.
Since that time we have been busy selling a car, buying a camper trailer, getting passports for all of the kids, selling furniture, finding a home to rent in Alaska, the list seems to go on and on. We think we have finalized our plan for getting to Alaska. We are going to be driving the Alaskan Highway over a span of 10 days. We plan on stopping along the way to do some fishing, hiking, and sight seeing. Not to mention we will be traveling 3,000 miles in a vehicle with 3 small kids. This is where the camper comes into play, taking our time and enjoying the trip. OK, this part of the plan gets us to Alaska, now how do we get our stuff there without breaking the bank? Family who loves us, and may want to experience a little adventure themselves! Brian's Dad has a 24 foot toy hauler and we are going to be loading all of our stuff into that, and the bed of his truck. I think I have sold enough furniture that hopefully we can fit what is left. So, I probably don't have to say it, but we are busy!
Here are some pictures of the kids.....sweet Isabella

Bristol got stuck in the basket of the stroller, not sure why he was in there but I had to snap a picture before rescuing him!
Hudson likes to ride his horse and watch the Lion King...who am I to question?

Glad to hear your plans are coming together. It sounds like a good plan.
