Happenings

Brian made the kids a snow tunnel in one of the snow berms around the driveway. It has provided lots of fun!

The boys started swim lessons with one of their little friends this last week.

My friend Rachel and I went back country skiing/snowboarding yesterday! So fun!

Hide and Seek

Bella caught on pretty quick that the boys like to hide in the same spot over and over!

Bristol likes to wear band aids...he even looks hurt, but he's not. I had to take him to library reading time like this!

The boys have been playing a game called, "Animal Rescue Center". They like to "help" injured animals. This particular day they brought snow into the house for their arctic animals. From now on, though, the animals go outside into the snow!

The boys and I doing some pilates. Notice all of the sunshine? We made it through the dark time of the year! It sure is pretty and bright out! But it is cold too!

Fairbanks

We flew to Fairbanks last weekend for the Ice Sculpture Championship. It was really neat to see the very intricate sculptures. Our favorite part was the kid's playground....made out of ice! There were ice slides, an ice maze, ice tea cups, an even an ice skating rink...the walls of the skating rink were made of ice! So fun! The down side, it was -8...brrrr.. We were going to go back at night to see all of the sculptures lit up, but by then it was -20, and we chickened out =)

Warming up with some hot cocoa
We drove to the North Pole, AK ...where the spirit of Christmas lives year round...HO...HO...HO...Brian thought the men in the town must like not having to take down the Christmas lights every year. It was kind of a cute town...and kind of a random town at the same time.
"The moose, the moose, the moose are on the loose" This is chanted every time the kids see a moose! These guys were wandering through town.
Most of our time in Fairbanks was spent in the pool at the hotel. It was warm in there!
This is how I like to fly with my kids...them sleeping! Ok, this was only a 40 minute flight too!
