Last week we went to St. George with the Epps for a golf vacation....ok, the guys did the golfing and the girls did some exploring and relaxation. On the day Roanne and I went to the day spa we came home to all the guys in the hot tub......they were pretty cute!
Roanne and I took the kids to Zion National Park one of the days the guys were golfing. We walked some great trails and the kids seemed to really enjoy being outside.
Our last day in Southern Utah we all went back to Zion. We walked the River walk trail to the Narrows. We then attempted to cross literally freezing water to see the narrower canyon. We made it back and forth a couple times. I think we may have needed dry suits to get much further!
Hudson ran the last mile and a half down the trail....or should I say flew? As he would come up on a group of people walking he'd shout, "Watch Out!"
We found a great park close to the house we stayed in. Here are all the kiddos enjoying it.

Nap Time?
This is what we discovered when we went to get Hudson from his nap this afternoon.
He knows that during nap time he has to stay in bed and "read" if he isn't sleeping....I don't think there was sleeping or reading going on here.....

Catch Up
As you can tell from my lack of blogging we have been busy getting all settled back into our house in Utah. Not to mention getting out and enjoying some of the great things we have missed about the state. Here is the serious cliff notes version of the last couple of weeks.
Here is a picture of Hudson doing some self entertaining during the drive from Washington to Utah. The kids were surprisingly well behaved during the road trip! Once we got home we were a little worried about what we would find...you never know how renters will treat a home, but things seemed to be well taken care of. I think Brian missed having home projects to do...because once the moving truck was unpacked he and our dads started working on the side gate which was in need of repair...

This was our moving crew. we were so thankful to have the help of our parents! They took a week out of their busy lives to come from California and help us get situated back at home. Thanks guys!
Brian arranged for me to go snowboarding with my friend Roanne. He even volunteered to watch all the kids to make it possible. I haven't been able to go the last couple of seasons because I've been pregnant, so it felt awesome!! We went to Solitude and enjoyed a day on the slopes!!
Hiking up Butterfield Canyon near our house. I sure missed this area. Being there made me think of all the miles I logged in on horse back up there. I've been itching to get a horse again!! Especially after we cleaned out the hay shed...seeing the hay...smelling the leather of the tack....we'll see how long I can last without getting one of those smelly beasts again!
