Seattle with Grandpa and Grandma Bonjean

This weekend my Dad and step mom came to visit from California. We had a wonderful time exploring Seattle, hanging out with the kids, racing go karts, and playing some cards.
This is the Seattle Aquarium. Hudson really enjoyed seeing all of the sea life. My favorite aquarium moment was Hudson walking into a con caved fish tank and touching his clothes and head. He thought he was walking into the water and checking to see if he was wet. When he discovered he was in fact dry he started his happy dancing. He then ran all over shouting,"fish, fish".

Thanks Dad and Gloria for coming to visit us!

Fun in the Snow

Last winter Bailey started her training as a sled dog pulling Hudson around, so this year she is back in "training".
Hudson is having a hard time understanding why some toys don't work very well in the snow!

Check out the snow on the table! We have had a lot lately!

Let It Snow!

We have been getting some pretty great snow here in Olympia! I think we got about 6 inches last night to add to the already 6 inches from over the last couple of days. Now in Utah this amount of snow would not effect all that much, and if you were lucky you were heading up the mountain to take advantage of some fresh powder (I haven't been all that lucky the past couple of seasons!). Now, this amount of snow in Olympia changes about everything! I don't think it is common to get this much snow, and there are no plows! So, this morning church was cancelled, Brian is on his way home from the airport because his last two flights were cancelled, and we were without electricity for a couple of hours today. This didn't stop Hudson and I from going out and enjoying ourselves!
He was determined to "mow" the snow...he got a little frustrated by not being able to push the mower through the snow. By a little frustrated I mean screaming and crying!

Bristol stayed nice and warm by playing indoors.

Nana and Papa Vit

My parents and brother came to visit us this last week. We really enjoyed our time with them! We were able to go explore some new places, and just have some good old quality time. It was also awesome for me to have a break from changing diapers and cooking! Thanks Mom, Greg and Miah!
I know this picture is a bit out of place, but we didn't get any pics of Jeremiah while he was here. He was always behind the camera. So, this is a little dated, and Hudson is a little older now...but it will have to do!

Random Kid Pics

Hudson was pushing Bristol around in this box. I love the look on Bristol's face.

Nana and Papa got Hudson this tunnel for his birthday, he and Bristol both love to play in it!

MOSES

Santa Claus is not going to be a very big name around our house come Christmas time. So, to say the least, Hudson hasn't heard of this jolly character. I thought it was especially funny today when I was jogging around our neighborhood with the boys, and Hudson pointed to a lawn Santa and shouted,"MOSES!". Here is the picture from his story Bible....I can see the resemblance!

Grandpa and Grandma Ness

We had a great Thanksgiving holiday with Mom and Dad Ness. We were able to just spend some quality time together, and also show them around where we have been living. The boys really enjoyed their time with them.

Thank you guys for coming to visit!

Sailing 101

Brian and I have been wanting to go sailing since we moved to Washington, however do not have the necessary skills to do so. Lucky for us Brian's parents are in town and his Dad is an avid sailor. So, with the kids at home with Grandma, we took RJ to Boston Harbor and rented a sailboat. We had a great time out on the water!

I thought this was a good action shot...

RJ was a great teacher. I think Brian and I would feel good taking the boat out ourselves now!

Kennedy Creek

On Saturday we went to Kennedy Creek , which is known for viewing chum salmon while they are spawning. It is supposedly a great place to view fish, however, I think we were a week late in the whole spawning process because all we viewed were tons of dead salmon. The best view was from upwind!

He's Gone Mobile

Bristol is starting to move! When it came to Hudson starting to crawl and get mobile, we just couldn't wait for that to happen. However, now with the second child and a little more parenting knowledge under our belts, I think we would be perfectly happy having Bristol just hanging out a little while longer. Putting the thought of two boys romping around aside...yeah Bristol!! We are proud of you!

Hudson has been putting our shoes on lately and running around.

Jump Rope

Brian was looking for some cardio to do inside on a rainy day, and after putting down the jump rope, Hudson thought he would give it a try.

Rainy Days

The weather sure has held out awhile for us, and we loved every sunny minute of it! We have changed gears here in Washington and the forecast calls for rain for the next four days or so. Brian and I have worked hard to keep the boys busy...this includes me taking Hudson to the park during a light rain in his rain coat and boots to go on the swings. I don't think he even noticed the rain. Here are some pictures of indoor activities. We took the boys to the Olympia Flight Museum yesterday. Hudson did a lot of pointing and happy dancing.

Hudson enjoys lining up his puzzle pieces along the window sill.
Today he was holding the giraffe and laying it down saying, "nigh, night iraff". Bristol checking out the tools on the tool bench, I think he likes what he sees.
The trucks did not last too long at the top of the slide! Isn't a slide meant to throw things down?
